KASA Yoga and Wellness
Established in Old Worthington in July of 2016, our intimate and nurturing yoga and wellness studio was created by Worthington mom and Yoga Instructor/Ayurvedic Health & Lifestyle Coach, Katherine Yannucci, as a home away from home. Our mission is to design a lifestyle that inspires change through the ancient practices of Yoga, Ayurveda, Reiki, and Meditation. On this journey we will travel together in the spirit of awareness, balance and transformation for optimum health and fulfillment.

Kathy, also known as KATICA, is an Ayurvedic Health and Lifestyle Coach, 500-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and a Master Reiki Practitioner. She is a student member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) and a lifelong learner of holistic health modalities who loves to share what she has learned with her clients, friends and family.
She began her yoga journey in the fall of 2000 at the Dharma Yoga Center in New York City after being diagnosed with hyperthyroid. While working full-time as a Fashion Designer, she started practicing yoga twice a week in order to counteract the symptoms of her thyroid condition.
In January 2004, Kathy’s love for yoga led her to enroll in a teacher-training course in Miami, Florida where she first learned about the beautiful science of Ayurveda and how it supported the practice of yoga. Kathy taught at local studios and spas in Miami, while also implementing “Yoga for Lunch” into the corporate world. In addition, she taught private clients at their homes and businesses.
In November 2005, Kathy moved to Columbus, Ohio. The first thing she did upon arriving was to take a tour of the city to find all the local yoga studios. She has taught at McConnell Heart Health Center, local studios, country clubs, and her home studio in Worthington.
Kathy has trained with Sarah Powers, Gary Kraftsow, Rodney Yee, Paul Grilley, Cyndi Lee, and many others. Her fluid yoga style is sometimes referred to as a “dance", as she links one pose to the next with each breath. Kathy's continuing studies and personal health experiences with Yoga, Reiki, Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, have led her to teach in a way that blends all these practices.
In October 2015, Kathy decided to formally train in Ayurvedic medicine with the California College of Ayurveda. Her intention is to complete the entire program at CCA to become an Ayurvedic Doctor so that she may better serve her community.
Kathy’s favorite quote by Mahatma Gandhi: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
