Description:  What nourishes the body is food. What nourishes the mind and spirit is yoga.  Join us as we explore these two fundamental practices of living day-to-day in rhythm with the seasons where we live.  Whether you love food or are just curious about how to incorporate healthy, vitalizing choices for your meal plans, come join us.  Together, we’ll create our own ways of eating local while using yoga-inspired approaches to cooking.  Our time together includes a full practice of asana, meditation and pranayama customized to enhance your experience of the season.

Our OM Eats: Summer workshop also includes:

  • Book of the Season—A healthy, harmonizing cookbook to use in your kitchen. Our summer pick is by Kimberly Parsons called The Yoga Kitchen!
  • Local Shopping List—Colleen’s picks of where to find local produce, favorite farmers in Central Ohio and farmers market tips.
  • Tasting of Seasonal Treats—Featuring local ingredients, we’ll sample Lemon Verbena Bliss Balls from The Yoga Kitchen along with Fresh, Organic Herbal Teas crafted for summer wellness.
  • Your Food Love Story—A personal, private map of your food traditions and health outcomes and your current cooking/dining choices, all created in an exploratory, non-judgmental space.

Colleen Leonardi is an artist, yogini and teacher whose work is devoted to the relationships between food and culture, art and the environment and personal health and one’s connection to the Earth. She is the editor of Edible Columbus, a local food magazine dedicated to our region, our food stories and our culture, season by season. She is also a 500-hr RYT in Hatha yoga at Kasa Yoga, a Reiki master and an apprenticing herbalist.
